While this has alienated the Northern Brotherhood, it still is allied with the Midwestern Brotherhood. Instead, it focuses its efforts on protecting wastelanders and defeating the New Unity. Unlike the West Coast Brotherhood, the Northern Brotherhood does not prioritise the retrieving of Pre-War technology.
The Northern Brotherhood overall is lead by an elected Elder. The supportive castes includes Apprentices, Scribes and Senior Scribes, with the Head Scribe being the highest rank achieveable in this caste. The combative caste includes Aspirants, Knights and Paladins with Head Paladin being the highest rank achievable in this caste. However, thanks to the influence of the Midwestern brotherhood, it does adopt a two castes system Combative and supportive.
Unlike other Brotherhood of Steel chapters, including the Midwestern brotherhood with which they are allied, the Northern Brotherhood is neither descended from Maxsons original collumn nor follows its doctrines.
